Wordpress has a huge collection of plugins that you can add to enhance its performance, saving you a lot of time, effort and money.

These are the most basic plugin that I highly recommend that use in all your websites:

1. Akismet – Spam preventation

2. Pingler – Updates the search engine when you change you posts. Help you get indexed a lot faster.

3. All in one SEO Pack – This plugin is very useful for your Search Engine Optimization.

4. Exclude Pages from Navigation – For pages that you don’t to appear in your site menu.

5. Tweet, Like, Google +1 and share – Connect your site in the most common social networks.

    Also check out Limit Login Attempts. It helps secure your site by temporarily locking out IP addresses that attempt a “brute force” attack on your WP admin.

    I also use the Redirection plugin to fix broken links on my sites using permanent redirects.
